Ajith Kumar’s upcoming documentary, titled Gladiators, has released its trailer, offering a rare glimpse into the actor‑racer’s personal life and the high‑stakes world of endurance racing. Directed by A. L. Vijay, the 3‑minute 46‑second preview opens with Ajith addressing the audience: “The horizons of motorsport are vast. It’s not just about the glamour or the speed. Here, discipline, precision, calculated risks, and making decisions in a split second are what really count. One of the most demanding and challenging forms of motorsport is endurance racing.” The footage showcases his stints at Le Mans, the Dubai 24H race and other tracks, while intercutting scenes of the actor’s family.
Ajith’s wife, Shalini, appears in the trailer and candidly admits that she feels nervous when he is on the track. “Everyone knows him as an actor. But only those close to him know him as a man who relentlessly pursues his dreams and passions,” she says. She reflects on the crashes Ajith has survived, adding, “I have never seen him fear failure. He never expects success to come overnight. He didn’t return to racing just to win or take home a trophy. He came back for those few seconds when nothing is impossible.” Despite her nerves, Shalini expresses her unwavering support, noting that watching him live out his passion is worth the anxiety.
The documentary also features Ajith’s children, daughter Anoushka and son Aadvik. Anoushka shares, “More than anything, I admire the person he is and the values he raised me with.” Aadvik recalls his first experience sitting in Ajith’s racing car, remarking on how the driver manages the cramped cockpit. These intimate moments give the trailer a personal touch, balancing the adrenaline‑filled racing sequences with heartfelt family insights.
In addition to the film, Ajith remains active in cinema. He last appeared in Magizh Thirumeni’s Vidaamuyarchi and Adhik Ravichandran’s Good Bad Ugly in 2025, and will soon star in Dare Devil, slated to begin shooting in November. Ajith has clarified that he will only take on film projects during the off‑season of racing, prioritising his passion for motorsport. The release date for Gladiators has not yet been announced, but the trailer has already sparked excitement among fans eager to see the actor’s dual career in action.
