Katrina Kaif found herself the target of online harassment after a recent public appearance at the Ambani family’s Ganapati puja in Mumbai, just months after welcoming her son Vihaan in November 2025. The backlash focused on her postpartum body, with many trolls ignoring the fact that she had only recently become a mother.
Actor Salman Khan stepped in on the weekend edition of the show Weekend Ka Vaar to defend the actress. While he never named her directly, he alluded to the criticism she was receiving over her weight and appearance after pregnancy, and urged viewers not to “make money by putting someone down.” He reminded audiences that everyone gains weight during pregnancy and that she would regain fitness when she returned to films.
The clip of Khan’s remarks quickly went viral, sparking a wave of support from fans on social media. Commentators praised him for standing up for Katrina, with lines such as “Bhaijaan defended Katrina Kaif” and “He always protects her no matter what.” Some fans even compared the moment to the YRF spy universe, joking that “Tiger is back, speaking up for Zoya.”
Other Bollywood personalities, including Khushbu Sundar and Sonarika Bhadoria, also voiced their backing for Katrina, echoing Khan’s sentiment that the actress should be allowed to focus on her family and not be subjected to body‑shaming.
In the same episode, Salman addressed a separate issue involving housemates ScoutOP and Arishfa Khan, condemning the call to “finish” her by a segment of the YouTube and gaming community. He reiterated that trolls often target celebrities over personal milestones such as motherhood, weight, and career setbacks, and urged a more respectful discourse.
