We have fan clubs that tell us who does what. We just choose not to react,” he said. “They’re making money by putting you down, and there might be heroes or producers who encourage this by paying some money.” Khan went on to criticize the film‑industry practice of giving high ratings for monetary gain, calling it a form of corruption that undermines ethical standards.
In a separate segment, the actor tackled the pressure on stars to comment on politics. He questioned why journalists should expect him to provide opinions on national issues simply because he is a public figure. “We might not have the knowledge or we don’t want to get into this. Why should we get into this?” Khan asked. He added that the responsibility lies with the media to investigate and report, not with celebrities to be dragged into every debate. “It is your job: you go find out what the truth is, and you come tell us. You don’t have to bring us into it by asking for our opinion or comment.”
