Venky Kudumula Shifts Gears, Debuts as Producer with Itlu Arjuna; New Heroine and Hero Set to Shine

Venky Kudumula, a name already familiar to Telugu cinema fans as a director, has announced a new chapter in his career: he is stepping into production with his upcoming film Itlu Arjuna. The project not only showcases his dual role but also introduces fresh faces to the industry. Lead actor Aneesh makes his debut in the hero’s role, while Anaswara Rajan steps in as the female lead, marking a significant launchpad for both performers.

The film’s creative team is equally new, with Mahesh Uppala making his directorial debut. Uppala, who previously worked on the film Oka Chinna Family Katha, brings a passion for storytelling that Kudumula says has “translated onto the screen” with great satisfaction. The cinematography is handled by Raja, who is also the director of photography for Nagarjuna’s 100th film, adding a seasoned visual touch to the fresh narrative.

Kudumula revealed the teaser for Itlu Arjuna at a launch event that drew a positive response from the audience. In a heartfelt address, he thanked the producers who had supported him throughout his journey. “As a director, I saw their hard work; becoming a producer myself made me feel it personally,” he said. He added that the experience of juggling both creative vision and budgetary concerns provides a deeper understanding of the filmmaking process and opens doors for new talent in Telugu cinema.

Speaking about the newcomers, Kudumula expressed confidence in the cast. He praised Aneesh’s performance, stating, “I watched Aneesh’s performance in this film, and it made me feel that I made a truly great decision.” He echoed similar pride in launching Anaswara, noting, “I feel immensely proud to introduce her.” The director also highlighted his earlier success with Rashmika in Kirik Party and his desire to repeat that success with this new team.

With the teaser already generating buzz, Itlu Arjuna is slated for theatrical release on October 30. Kudumula encouraged audiences to support the film in cinemas, emphasizing that the collective backing of viewers would help nurture emerging talent and contribute to the future of quality cinema. The film promises to be a fresh addition to the Telugu film landscape, blending new talent with experienced craftsmanship.
