Cinema VinesActress and dancer Sreelaya exited the Bigg Boss Malayalam 8 house after just 14 days, following the latest eviction episode that aired on September 20. The reality show, which began on September 6, had already seen three contestants leave the house earlier in the season. Sreelaya, who entered as one of the original housemates, was nominated for eviction in the second week and received three nominations from her fellow contestants before the public vote decided her fate.
During the eviction process, the nomination list included Noby, Sumesh, Sreeraj (Kadal Komban), Aiswarya, Neha, Sreelakshmi, Anjali, Jaseela and Sreelaya. Noby was declared safe first, leaving the remaining eight to face the public vote. After the vote, Sreelaya was the sole contestant evicted, ending her two‑week stint in the Bigg Boss house.
Speaking after her departure, Sreelaya reflected on the stark difference between the reality inside the house and the outside perception. She admitted that staying genuine in the game was challenging, noting that the house’s reality was “different from how it appeared from outside.”
In the same episode, host Mohanlal announced a change for two wildcard entrants, Shibina and Tashi, who had joined the house after the Bigg Boss Agnipareeksha process. Initially introduced as a single contestant, they will now compete as separate individuals, a move they said would make them feel more comfortable and active in the house.
The season, broadcast on Asianet and available for streaming on JioHotstar, has seen other exits as well: Gayathri Suresh was evicted in a mid‑week eviction during the first week but later returned; Dhanya and Rini Ann George left after the public voting process. With Sreelaya’s exit, the remaining housemates will continue into the next round of nominations and tasks as the season progresses.
