Cinema VinesA complaint has surfaced over the official trailer of the upcoming film The Vvaan – Force Of The Forrest, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia. Vocalist and composer Sargam Vaish has alleged that his original track, “Aigiri Nandini,” was used in the trailer without his permission or any licence.
Vaish first brought the issue to light on Instagram on Sunday, where he posted a reel pointing out the segment of the trailer he believes contains his music. In the video, he played the relevant portion of the song and highlighted the exact point in the trailer where it appears. His caption read, “REMOVE MY SONG FROM THE VVAAN / I recently came across the ‘THE VVAAN – Official Trailer’ and noticed that my original song has been used in it without my permission or consent.” He added that he had not granted any approval for the track’s use in the trailer or its promotion, and that the unauthorized inclusion could jeopardise a contract he has already signed with a major music label.
In the same post, Vaish urged the film’s team to remove the music and to provide details of any permission or licence that may have been obtained. He concluded, “I’m sharing this here because I genuinely need your support. Please share this post and help me reach the right people.” The composer’s statement was made in a single Instagram post, and no response from the makers of The Vvaan – Force Of The Forrest has yet been issued.
The film, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, is set to feature Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles. The controversy centres on the alleged use of Vaish’s song in the trailer, a claim that, if proven, could raise questions about copyright compliance and the protection of independent artists’ work.
As the situation unfolds, fans and industry observers are awaiting a reply from the film’s production team to clarify whether any clearance was obtained or to confirm the removal of the disputed track from the trailer.
