Cinema VinesActor and former wrestler Saurav Gurjar has been taken into custody following a sexual exploitation complaint filed by a 29‑year‑old woman who claims he misled her with promises of marriage. Gurjar, known for his role as Bhima in the television series Mahabharat and as Zor in Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, was stopped by immigration officers at Mumbai airport on the night of September 17 after returning from the Middle East. Police then brought him to Hyderabad and remanded him to 14 days in judicial custody.
The complainant first reached out to Gachibowli police on August 15, alleging that she had connected with Gurjar on Instagram in 2021. They met in person on December 25 of that year and began a relationship that she says continued between the United States and India. According to her statement, Gurjar revealed that he was already married but repeatedly promised that they would eventually settle down together. She says he would block her on phone and social media whenever she raised the subject of marriage, causing her to suffer mental harassment, emotional distress and financial loss, including losing her job in the US after she left it to be with him.
She further claims that Gurjar convinced her to leave her employment in the US by promising they would start a business together in India. She moved to Hyderabad expecting to build a life with him, only to find that he failed to follow through on those promises. The complaint states that they lived together from October 2025 to March 2026 before he cut off communication. She says he later helped her relocate to Hyderabad, but the issues surrounding their relationship and his alleged promises continued, leading her to seek police assistance.
Gachibowli police registered the case under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which covers sexual intercourse obtained through deceitful means. They also issued a Look‑Out Circular (LOC) against Gurjar. Inspector K. Saidulu confirmed the arrest and noted that the LOC was issued after Gurjar was intercepted by immigration officials at Mumbai airport on September 17. The allegations remain under investigation and have not yet been established in court.
