His next outing, the action‑packed “Force 3,” will see him co‑star with Harshvardhan Rane and hit Indian cinemas on March 19. Following that, the actor will turn the camera’s eye on a new avatar in Rohit Shetty’s “Maria IPS,” playing former top cop Rakesh Maria. Sources also confirm that Abraham is quietly working on another project that may reach theatres in 2027.
In a fresh development, the Bollywood veteran has begun shooting a psychological thriller tentatively titled Guru. The film is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, known for “Te3n” (2016) and “The Girl On The Train” (2021). According to a source speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Abraham was drawn to the high‑concept premise and Dasgupta’s vision, prompting him to sign on. The cast also includes Danish Pandor, famed for his role in “Dhurandhar,” along with Arif Zakaria and Kitu Gidwani.
Production of Guru is a joint effort between Abraham’s own banner, JA Entertainment, and Authum Entertainment. The latter, the film arm of Authum Investment & Infrastructure, has already backed Shetty’s “Maria IPS” and the upcoming “Golmaal 5,” a 2027 ensemble featuring Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, and Akshay Kumar. Authum’s leadership includes Sanjay Dangi, Amit Dangi and Divy Dangi.
Notably, Authum has green‑lit Guru even before the release of “Maria IPS” and “Golmaal 5,” signalling a bold push into film production and confidence in its forthcoming slate. The project, still in the early stages, promises to add another psychological thriller to Abraham’s diverse filmography.
