Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sequel is expected to revisit the grand world introduced in the first film, which featured a powerhouse ensemble that included Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone. He was spotted filming scenes with Kamal Haasan, a pairing that excited fans because the two legendary actors did not share screen time in the first movie. Their collaboration is expected to bring a fresh dynamic to the film’s narrative.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone, who portrayed Sumathi in the original film, will not appear in the sequel. Her departure marks a significant change in the casting lineup, further heightening interest in the new characters that will populate the story.
