Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, accompanied by his wife Gauri Khan and their daughter Suhana, joined the festivities and offered prayers at the temple on Monday, according to visuals released by news agency ANI.
The Shah Rukh Khan family’s arrival was marked by a quiet, respectful entrance. While fans waved at the superstar inside the pandal, SRK made sure his wife and daughter received proper darshan before staying back for the evening aarti. Heavy security was in place, yet the star managed to skip the usual paparazzi swarm, preferring a low‑profile participation.
Earlier in the month, Shah Rukh had also taken part in the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations hosted by Mukesh and Nita Ambani. In photos that have since circulated, the actor can be seen performing aarti alongside Nita, while other Bollywood stars such as Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt also paid their respects to Lord Ganesha.
Amid the celebrations, Shah Rukh Khan hinted at his upcoming film “King,” slated for release on December 24. The action‑drama, directed by Siddharth Anand, also stars Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan and a supporting cast that includes Raghav Juyal, Jaideep Ahlawat and Arshad Warsi. SRK revealed that the film’s action sequences were physically demanding, even leading to injuries on set, and that he has been closely involved with the visual‑effects team to ensure a high‑quality final product.
When asked what he is most excited to showcase in “King,” Shah Rukh said he looks forward to presenting the film as a complete experience, highlighting its action, music, performances and, humorously, his own hair. He added that he is keeping the VFX crew on their toes, joking that they might soon ban him from staying late at the office.
