Cinema VinesSoori’s Tamil sports action drama Mandaadi has slipped sharply on its second Monday, September 21, with the film’s India net earnings dropping to ₹2.11 crore across 3,446 screens. The figure represents a 73.6% fall from the ₹8 crore net collected on Sunday, September 20, and the lowest occupancy of the week at just 19.3%.
Since its theatrical launch on September 10, Mandaadi has amassed a total India net of ₹77.66 crore, translating to an India gross of ₹90.83 crore. Overseas markets have added another ₹15.40 crore to the film’s tally, pushing the worldwide gross to ₹106.23 crore.
The second‑week run has seen a steady decline: Day 9 brought in ₹3.70 crore, Day 10 added ₹6.55 crore, and Day 11 saw a peak of ₹8 crore before the Monday drop. In the first week, the film opened with ₹4.85 crore on Day 1, peaked at ₹13.05 crore on Day 4, and finished the week with a total of ₹57.30 crore.
Director Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, known for Selfie, helmed the project, while composer G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematographer S. R. Kathir and editor Pradeep E. Ragav crafted the film’s technical backbone. Producer Elred Kumar released the movie under the RS Infotainment banner.
The story follows a traditional sailboat race in South India, with Soori leading a cast that includes Suhas, Mahima Nambiar, Sathyaraj, Mithun Jai Sankar, Bala Saravanan, Ravindravjay and Stun Siva. As of Tuesday, September 22, the film is entering its 13th day in theatres, with Day 13 figures yet to be finalized.
