Cinema VinesThe Vvaan: Force Of The Forrest production team has secured the sync rights to a recording of the devotional chant “Aigiri Nandini” after musician Sargam Vaish claimed that his master track had been used in the film’s trailer without permission. Vaish first raised the issue on September 20, posting on Instagram that a version of the chant he had created for a Ram Gopal Varma film appeared in the trailer of the Sidharth Malhotra‑starrer. He said he owns the master rights and had not been approached for clearance.
Within a day of the allegation, Balaji Motion Pictures’ legal team met with Vaish. According to the musician, executives and lawyers from Ektaa R Kapoor’s production house arrived on the evening of September 21, apologized for the oversight, and agreed to acquire the sync rights. Vaish told Mid‑Day that the meeting was “kind and apologetic” and that the rights were taken “smoothly.”
Despite the settlement, Vaish remains uncertain how his recording reached the Vvaan team. He said the source of the leak is still unknown and that he and the parties involved are investigating the chain of custody. The film, directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and backed by Balaji Motion Pictures, is slated for release on September 25.
“I am grateful for the fact that we were able to resolve it so smoothly,” Vaish added, noting that the production house had not caused the leak but had acted cooperatively once the issue was brought to their attention.
