Prabhas’ ‘Fauzi’ Delayed; Fans Await New Date

During a pre‑release gathering for Nani’s upcoming film The Paradise in Hyderabad, producer Y. Ravi Shankar announced that Prabhas’s period action drama Fauzi will no longer hit theatres on the previously slated December 3, 2026 date. The statement, delivered in front of a crowd of eager fans, surprised many who had been counting down to the release of what is billed as a “different level” of Prabhas after his Baahubali fame.

Shankar explained that the film is being “brought back a little” to ensure it meets the high expectations set for the star. He added that the movie would be “on a different level” and that audiences would “cherish it for life.” No new release date was disclosed, leaving fans to wait for further updates.

Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Fauzi is a large‑scale period action drama that draws on historical elements. The story promises to showcase Prabhas in a role that diverges from his previous work. Actress Imanvi will star opposite him, while veteran actors Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Jayaprada and Bhanuchander have been cast in key roles.

The technical crew includes composer Vishal Chandrasekhar and cinematographer Sudeep Chatterjee. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers in partnership with T‑Series. Despite the postponement, the producer assured fans that the wait will be worth it, hinting that a special update might surface around Prabhas’s birthday in October.

As of now, the new release date remains unknown, but the makers have promised that more details will surface soon. Fans are keeping a close eye on the studio’s announcements for the next step in the journey of Fauzi.
