Rhiti told the audience that after her parents’ divorce she was largely cut off from her father, who only visits once a year. She added that she had to wait until she turned 18 to try to build a closer bond with him.
During the confession, Rhiti explained that her father would not provide her with financial support or help her launch a career. “He made one thing very clear to me: he is not going to help me with my career. Nothing in a bad way. He told me, ‘If you have it in you, you will make it on your own. I’m not going to do it for you.’” she said. She went on to describe her monthly allowance of ₹20,000‑₹25,000, noting that she often had to eat a ₹10 vada pav or fill her car with only ₹500 worth of diesel to make ends meet.
Rhiti’s remarks have triggered a mixed reaction online. Some viewers questioned the authenticity of her poverty, asking “What kind of poverty is this?” and pointing out that ₹25,000 is a common salary in India. Others mocked her, labeling her a “new nepo struggler in the market” or comparing her struggles to those of other celebrities such as Ananya Panday.
Manoj Tiwari, who has been married twice, first to Rani Tiwari (with whom he has Rhiti) and later to Surabhi Tiwari, is a well‑known figure in both the film and political arenas. The couple’s divorce in 2012 left Rhiti as the sole daughter from the first marriage, while Manoj now has two younger daughters born in 2020 and 2022.
Bigg Boss 20, hosted by Salman Khan, is airing on JioHotstar and Colors TV. The season features a unique format that gives contestants two chances to survive in the house. So far, Rohit Khan has been eliminated, and this week Yung DSA and Isha Rikhi are up for eviction.
