Cinema VinesMythri Movie Makers’ producer Ravi Shankar has confirmed that Superstar Prabhas’ upcoming film, the studio’s own production titled Fauzi, is likely to be postponed. The announcement came after Shankar assured fans that the film’s quality would still be impressive, even if it arrives later than originally planned.
As a result, the December 3 slot that was earmarked for Fauzi is now vacant, along with other releases such as Naga Chaitanya’s Vrushakarma. The delay is expected to ripple into the release schedule of the film Spirit, which is slated for March 5, 2027.
Reports suggest that Fauzi will no longer target a Sankranthi release or any immediate timeframe. The producers anticipate a summer release or a slightly later date, which would clash with the planned March premiere of Spirit.
Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is determined to release Spirit on March 5th, but the overlapping schedules make this unlikely, even if filming wraps on time. With Fauzi potentially pushing back to January, Spirit would need to be rescheduled to the second half or end of 2027.
These changes have surprised many, as the shift could affect marketing, distribution, and audience expectations for both films.
