Cinema VinesSoori’s sports‑action drama Mandaadi has crossed the ₹80‑crore mark in India and is approaching a ₹110‑crore global haul, according to the latest box‑office data released by Sacnilk. The film, which opened in theatres on September 10, has netted ₹79.90 crore in India and grossed ₹93.40 crore domestically after 13 days of screenings. Overseas earnings have added roughly ₹15.85 crore, bringing the worldwide total to about ₹109.25 crore.
Day‑13 collections saw the film pull in ₹1.90 crore net in India, a dip from the ₹2.45 crore net recorded on Day‑12. The Tamil and Telugu versions together contributed this figure, with the Tamil cut earning ₹1.35 crore from 2,152 shows at an 18.1% occupancy, and the Telugu version adding ₹0.55 crore from 1,329 shows at 18% occupancy. The decline followed a strong second‑week run where the film earned ₹3.70 crore on Friday, ₹6.55 crore on Saturday, and ₹8 crore on Sunday before dropping to ₹2.45 crore on Monday and ₹1.90 crore on Tuesday.
In its first week, Mandaadi amassed a net collection of ₹57.30 crore. The subsequent five days added another ₹22.60 crore, pushing the cumulative net to ₹79.90 crore. The overseas segment contributed only about ₹0.20 crore on Day‑13, but the film’s global gross now sits just shy of the ₹110‑crore threshold.
Directed and written by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, the story revolves around a traditional South‑Indian sailboat race and the rivalry between teams led by Kaali and Saattaappuli. Soori stars as the protagonist, with Suhas making his Tamil debut alongside Mahima Nambiar. The supporting cast features Sathyaraj, Mithun Jai Sankar, Ravindravjay, Bala Saravanan and Stun Siva. Music is by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography by S. R. Kathir and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav. Elred Kumar produced the film under the RS Infotainment banner.
