Raghav Juyal Draws Parallels Between Shah Rukh Khan and Nani; Both Treat Sets With Equal Respect

Actor Raghav Juyal, who recently appeared alongside Nani in the Telugu film The Paradise and with Shah Rukh Khan in the Hindi blockbuster King, took a moment at a Mumbai press meet to compare the two leading men. Juyal praised Nani as a “universal star” during the promotional tour for The Paradise, and when asked about similarities between the Telugu superstar and the Bollywood icon, he highlighted their shared approach to set etiquette.

Juyal explained that both actors treat everyone on set with equal respect, from technicians and crew members to junior cast members. He noted their calmness and patience as key traits, adding, “I like people who have patience; I don’t have any. I am a very impatient man.” The actor also mentioned that Nani once joked about the “exact measurements” of Shah Rukh Khan, referring to the famous actor’s meticulous preparation for shoots.

In the interview, Juyal spoke about his experience on the sets of both films. He described The Paradise as a story set in 1980s Secunderabad, focusing on a marginalized community’s struggle against discrimination. The film, starring Nani, Srikanth Odela, Kayadu Lohar and Mohan Babu, was produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under SLV Cinemas, with music by Anirudh Ravichander. It is slated for a theatrical release on September 24 in all South Indian languages and Hindi, with special premieres on September 23.

Meanwhile, King is directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Gauri Khan, Anand, and Mamta Anand under Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures. The ensemble cast includes Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Rani Mukerji, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Arshad Warsi, with music by Anirudh and Sachin‑Jigar. The film is set to hit theatres on December 24.

Juyal’s comments underline the professional respect he holds for both actors, noting that their calm demeanor and respectful treatment of everyone on set have left a lasting impression on him. His remarks came after a decade of experience in journalism and digital media, reflecting his keen observations of the film industry’s dynamics.
