Cinema VinesRenu Sudhi, a contestant on the Malayalam version of Bigg Boss, is currently in intensive care at the Government Medical College in Kottayam after her health worsened during her fifth round of chemotherapy. The actress‑turned‑model, whose real name is Reshma P. Thankachen, has been battling breast cancer since her diagnosis earlier this year.
According to friend Sarika KB, who also appeared on Bigg Boss Malayalam, Renu’s condition deteriorated after the fifth chemotherapy session. Sarika revealed that Renu’s platelet count had dropped dramatically, leading to her admission to the hospital. She said Renu could not eat, a PICC line was inserted, and doctors warned the family that another round of treatment might be too risky.
In a video posted three days ago, Sarika recounted how Renu had managed earlier treatments, enduring intense physical discomfort but eventually recovering enough to continue her online videos and interactions. She contrasted this with the current situation, noting that Renu had not been able to get up or resume normal activities for several days and that the family feared she might not survive another chemotherapy cycle.
Former Bigg Boss contestant Sai Krishna, known on the show as Secret Agent, also addressed Renu’s condition in a Facebook video shared a day ago. He confirmed that the reports were true but expressed uncertainty about whether Renu had passed the critical phase. He urged anyone able to help financially to contact the family for support.
Both Sarika and Sai Krishna concluded their messages with pleas for prayers and assistance, highlighting the urgent need for community support as Renu fights to recover from the severe side effects of her cancer treatment.
