Cinema VinesTelevision actor Ishwar Thakur, best known for his comic roles in popular Hindi serials such as F.I.R. and Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain 2.0, has been admitted to a hospital in Thane, Maharashtra, after a severe kidney infection worsened his health. Doctors say the infection started from a wound on his leg and spread throughout his body, forcing him into the intensive care unit.
On Wednesday, Thakur’s sister Jayshree posted an update on Instagram Stories, describing her brother’s critical condition and pleading for financial help. She wrote, “A humble appeal for help. I am Jayshree, the sister of Ishwar Thakur. My brother’s health is currently in a very serious condition, and I am making a humble appeal to you for help.” She added that the family had exhausted their savings on treatment so far and urgently needed funds for hospitalisation, medicines, tests and other medical expenses.
Jayshree explained that the wound began in 2020, three months before the COVID lockdown, and that Ishwar’s diabetes prevented proper healing. “The infection has spread throughout his body,” she said, noting that his condition deteriorated a few days ago and he has been unresponsive since being rushed to the hospital. The family is hoping to continue his treatment under the care of their family doctor, who is fully aware of his medical status.
Thakur has faced health and financial challenges for several years. In 2023 he publicly discussed kidney‑related problems and the financial strain he was under while supporting his family. He recalled that his co‑stars from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! had helped him financially at that time. Now, with the costs mounting, the family is turning to a crowdfunding campaign to secure the necessary funds for his ongoing treatment.
