In a stunning leap that has put the Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan ahead of Hollywood heavyweights, Hurun India’s 2025 Rich List reports the actor’s net worth at a staggering ₹12,490 crore, roughly $1.4 billion. The figure not only elevates him into the global billionaire club but also crowns him as the richest working actor in the world, according to Hurun’s calculations.
The jump from the previous year’s ₹7,300 crore listing is dramatic, eclipsing the fortunes of international stars such as Taylor Swift ($1.3 billion), Arnold Schwarzenegger ($1.2 billion), Jerry Seinfeld ($1.2 billion) and Selena Gomez ($720 million). For an Indian film star to outpace these global icons is a milestone that Bollywood fans will celebrate.
Hurun attributes the surge to two key business ventures. First, Red Chillies Entertainment, Khan’s own production company, has been a steady source of revenue. Second, his stake in the Kolkata Knight Riders, through Knight Riders Sports, has added significant value. The billionaire status is therefore a testament to years of strategic investments rather than just film earnings.
In addition to his entertainment holdings, Khan’s real‑estate portfolio spans Mumbai, Delhi, Dubai, London and Los Angeles. His iconic Bandra home, Mannat, a sea‑facing property, alone is valued at around ₹200 crore, further bolstering his wealth.
The timing of this financial milestone coincides with a peak in Khan’s cinematic career. He recently won his first National Award for the film Jawan, which crossed the ₹1,000 crore mark domestically, marking a high point after three decades in the industry.
From an outsider with no initial capital to one of the world’s most valuable working actors, Shah Rukh Khan’s journey has always carried symbolic weight. Hurun’s numbers now provide a concrete figure behind that symbolic crown, cementing his status as a global entertainment powerhouse.
