Cinema VinesRavi Kishan, the actor who recently turned internet sensation and enjoyed massive success with the 2026 release of Mirzapur The Movie and his award‑winning performance in Laapataa Ladies (2024), is set to headline a new high‑concept spiritual drama produced by Mahaveer Jain Films. According to an exclusive source, the project will see Kishan carrying the film as the sole leading man, a rare occurrence in Hindi cinema.
The film marks the second collaboration between Kishan and Mahaveer Jain after their 2022 venture Naagzilla. The source told Bollywood Hungama that the makers were convinced Kishan possessed the talent, popularity and personality required for the role, and that the script impressed him enough to accept the offer immediately. The production house, which recently released the chart‑buster title track of Yeh Prem Mol Liya and announced RamBola directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, is now partnering with the veteran star for a “soulful and highly conceptual” devotional film.
Described as a contemporary story, the film follows a man whose devotion to God transcends the divine into a close friendship. The makers aim to present a clean, wholesome entertainer that families can watch together, blending spirituality with humour, strong emotions and drama. The scriptwriter and director is Amit Aarryan, while the film will be presented and produced by Mahaveer Jain Films – with Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, Vinayak Kumar, Kavin Shah and Shikha K Ahluwalia – alongside RatPack Stories’ Vijay Subramaniam and Kshitij Mehta.
Production is slated to begin in January, with the title still undecided. Once the name is finalized, an official announcement is expected. Fans of Kishan’s recent work can look forward to a fresh, devotional narrative that showcases his range as a solo lead.
