Akshaye Khanna splashes Rs.33.26 crore on Mumbai penthouse; luxury apartment at 30 Little Gibbs

Indian film star Akshaye Vinod Khanna has added a new luxury address to his portfolio, buying a high‑end apartment on Malabar Hill for a reported ₹33.26 crore. The transaction was recorded in September 2026 on the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) portal for Maharashtra, with the property listed at 30 Little Gibbs, Malabar Hill Road, Mumbai.

The penthouse spans a carpet area of 2,341.39 sq ft (217.52 sq m) and boasts a balcony covering 175.45 sq ft (16.29 sq m), bringing the total usable space to 2,516.84 sq ft (233.82 sq m). Three dedicated parking units accompany the unit, and the buyer paid a stamp duty of ₹1.99 crore along with registration fees of ₹30,000.

Malabar Hill remains one of South Mumbai’s most coveted residential districts, famed for its sea‑facing homes, proximity to business hubs such as Nariman Point and Lower Parel, and access to major thoroughfares like Nepean Sea Road and Pedder Road. The neighbourhood is also home to cultural landmarks such as the Hanging Gardens, Kamala Nehru Park, Banganga Tank and Walkeshwar Temple, and offers a range of premium schools, hospitals, restaurants and shopping venues.

Akshaye Khanna, the son of veteran actor Vinod Khanna, has carved out a distinguished career in Hindi cinema with roles in films such as Hulchul, Race, Gandhi, My Father, Dil Chahta Hai and Drishyam. Known for his subtle performances, he has maintained a relatively low‑profile personal life, making this high‑value purchase a notable addition to his public record.
