Director Harish Vyas’s father‑son dramedy Om Ka Hari has extended its theatrical run into a second week, maintaining a presence in 25 cinemas across Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets. The film, which stars and is produced by Anshuman Jha, follows a father‑son relationship and delves into themes of family, emotion and the expression of love toward parents.
In a bid to broaden its reach, Jha has announced a 15‑city tour that will begin on Monday. The itinerary includes Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Agra, Jaipur, Bengaluru and Patna, among others. During the tour, the actor‑producer will host special screenings for cinephiles and their fathers, aiming to create a direct connection with audiences rather than relying solely on conventional promotion.
Jha cited the old‑school approach of filmmaker Charlie Chaplin, who travelled to different cities to present his work, as an inspiration for the initiative. “This is the old‑school way of connecting with audiences, not just selling a film to them,” he said. “I make movies to connect, and my attempt has never been transactional; it has always been emotional. So I am willing to keep working harder and going further to reach my audience.”
He added that he wants to sit with viewers, watch the film together, hear their reactions and engage in conversations. “The love for Om Ka Hari is real, and I want to keep walking that extra mile to take the film to more people and, hopefully, spread the message at its heart, express your love to your parents while you still have the chance,” Jha said.
Alongside the theatrical run, the film will be screened at more than 50 Army Centres across India, expanding its reach beyond the regular cinema footprint. The 15‑city tour and Army Centre screenings will run concurrently with the film’s release as it heads into the coming weeks.
