Kareena Kapoor Khan to dazzle Shah Rukh Khan in new dance; ‘Daddy Cool’ set to be a blockbuster hit

Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming action thriller King is set to surprise audiences with a high‑energy cameo from Kareena Kapoor Khan. The Bollywood star will appear in a vibrant dance sequence titled “Daddy Cool,” which promises to bring the legendary pair together in a way fans haven’t seen in fifteen years. The track will be composed by the musical duo Sachin‑Jigar, who have previously worked with the pair on hits like “Chammak Challo” and “Criminal” from Ra.One.

A source speaking to Pinkvilla confirmed that “Daddy Cool” is being positioned as a standout moment in the film. The source added, “It will bring Shah Rukh and Kareena together in a way audiences haven’t seen before. It is expected to be one of the biggest highlights of King, and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make it memorable.” The makers are reportedly looking to enlist both international and Indian artists to lend their voices to the expansive track, though no official confirmation has been released yet.

Fans are thrilled at the prospect of seeing the duo on the big screen again, especially after their last collaboration in Ra.One. Kareena has previously shared screen space with Shah Rukh in films such as Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Asoka, and Ra.One, and has made special appearances in Don and Billu. The reunion is expected to generate significant buzz for the film’s release.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, King is a mega‑budget action thriller that revisits the director’s partnership with Shah Rukh after their 2023 blockbuster Pathaan. The story is said to centre on an underworld dynamic loosely inspired by Luc Besson’s classic Léon: The Professional, following an elite assassin who mentors a young protégé amid ruthless power struggles. The film also marks the major theatrical debut of Suhana Khan, who stars alongside her father in the lead narrative, while Abhishek Bachchan plays the central antagonist.

The ensemble cast features Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Rani Mukerji, and Jaideep Ahlawat, among others. King is produced jointly by Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Siddharth and Mamta Anand’s Marflix Pictures. While Sachin‑Jigar will handle the film’s songs, Anirudh Ravichander will compose the background score. The movie is slated for a worldwide release on December 24, 2026, over the Christmas weekend.
