Rural horror fans will have to wait a bit longer for the Jackie Shroff and Sharad Kelkar starrer Kaali Kheti, as the film’s release has been pushed back from the original date of October 23 to November 20, 2026. The postponement was announced by the makers, who also revealed fresh character posters that showcase the two veteran actors in the film’s countryside setting.
Kaali Kheti, written and directed by Haris Imtiyaz Khan and produced by Sana Khan under the BlackCanvas Studio banner, promises a blend of family drama, legacy themes and buried truths set against a rural backdrop. While the new posters give audiences a first look at Shroff’s and Kelkar’s roles, the plot details remain tightly held, hinting at a mystery rooted in the village’s hidden secrets.
In addition to Shroff and Kelkar, the cast includes Neha Sargam, Virendra Saxena and Shaji Choudhary in key parts. The film’s narrative is expected to weave horror elements into the exploration of generational ties and long‑hidden revelations, though specific plot points have yet to be disclosed.
With the revised date now set for November 20, 2026, Kaali Kheti will open in theatres across the country. Fans of the genre can look forward to a fresh take on rural horror, with the promise of atmospheric storytelling and seasoned performances from its lead actors.
