Lambodhara 2.0 to blast off with Kunal Kapoor; release set for Nov 20 2026

Mahaveer Jain Films is gearing up to release a bold new Kannada science‑fiction social thriller, Lambodhara 2.0, slated for a November 20, 2026 theatrical launch in both Kannada and Hindi. The film, directed by celebrated Kannada filmmaker Simple Suni, will drop in cinemas on that date, with its first look scheduled for release on Wednesday, October 14. The production company, known for backing a range of genre‑spanning projects, has positioned the film as a high‑concept exploration of artificial intelligence and its impact on human happiness.

Starring the charismatic Kunal Kapoor alongside Saachi Bindra and debutant Anil Shetty, Lambodhara 2.0 also features a real humanoid robot named JIA, adding a tangible element to its speculative narrative. The story is set in a world increasingly dominated by AI and digital validation, posing the central question: can technology truly bring genuine joy to people? The film promises a blend of suspense, humor, entertainment, and thought‑provoking themes as it delves into the intersection of AI, human emotion, happiness, and free will.

In addition to this ambitious venture, Mahaveer Jain’s slate for 2026–27 is packed. He is co‑producing Yeh Prem Mol Liya with Rajshri Productions, directed by Sooraj Barjatya and starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari. He has also announced RamBola, to be helmed by Vishal Chaturvedi of Hanuman Ansh fame, and Naagzilla, featuring Kartik Aaryan, which is scheduled for a February 12, 2027 release. A few weeks ago, the same source reported that Mahaveer Jain Films is producing a devotional drama fronted by Ravi Kishan.

With a diverse lineup that spans romantic drama, action, and devotional cinema, Mahaveer Jain Films is positioning itself as a versatile powerhouse in the Indian film industry. Fans of Kunal Kapoor and Simple Suni’s direction can look forward to a fresh take on AI‑driven storytelling, while the broader audience will have a range of new releases to anticipate in the coming years.
