Cinema VinesIn a dramatic turn during the fifth week of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 8, contestant Eldho George was evicted from the house, ending his run in the show. The decision followed the latest elimination round, with host Mohanlal announcing the results in a staged reveal. Eldho, who earned his spot through the pre‑show Bigg Boss Agnipareeksha, had entered the competition alongside fellow commoners Rakesh Jacob, Loletta Loryne Rodrigues and Shijin S.
The eviction came after a nomination process that saw several housemates named for the week, including Gautam G Sasi, Aiswarya Madhu, Tashi Raj, Vignesh Venu, Muhammad Asif, Rahul Easwar, Shijin S and Sreeraj K S, better known as Kadal Komban. While the group of nominees was called to check their cards, those marked as safe read out their names. Eldho and Gautam G Sasi were the last two awaiting the final verdict; ultimately, Gautam was declared safe and Eldho was sent home.
During the announcement, Mohanlal prompted the remaining contestants to share a positive quality they associated with Eldho. This moment allowed housemates to reflect on their experiences with him before his departure. Eldho left the house with a statement that his true Bigg Boss journey was outside the house and that this was merely the beginning.
The fifth‑week elimination follows a mass eviction the previous week, during which several contestants exited the house. Four wildcard entrants had joined the competition earlier, though one of them later chose to quit. These shifts have added further volatility to the Season 8 lineup as the contest moves forward.
Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 8 premiered on Asianet on September 6, 2026, with episodes also streaming on JioHotstar. Mohanlal has returned as host for the eighth consecutive season, guiding a mix of celebrity contestants and commoners selected through Bigg Boss Agnipareeksha, with wildcard entries supplementing the roster.
