Aasha Hits Streaming; ZEE5 to launch Malayalam hit on Oct 16

Malayalam drama Aasha, which hit theatres on September 11, 2026, will now be available for home viewing on the streaming platform ZEE5 from October 16, 2026. The film, directed by Safar Sanal and written by Joju George, Ramesh Girija and Sanal himself, follows a group of characters whose seemingly small choices ripple through their lives, creating a chain of unforeseen events that echo the butterfly‑effect motif.

Starring Urvashi, Joju George and Aishwarya Lekshmi, the ensemble also features Vijayaraghavan and Joy Mathew, with supporting roles by Ramesh Girija, Ajayan Adat, Prashanth Alexander, Shari, Amrutha Krishnakumar, Fehmin, Bhagyalakshmi, Kottayam Ramesh, Vishakh Vithura, Abdul Kalam and Prashanth Madhavan. Production duties were handled by Vinayaka Ajith, while Madhu Neelakandan captured the visuals, Shan Mohammed cut the film, and Ajayan Adat managed sound design and sync sound. Vivek Kalthil designed the sets, Shameer Sham was in charge of makeup, Sujith CS styled the costumes, and Dinesh Subbarayan coordinated stunts.

The technical team also included production controller Shabeer Malavattath, colourist Srik Varier, visual effects by Meraki, and DI work by Color Planet Studios. With its release on ZEE5, Aasha will be offered in five languages—Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi—providing accessibility to a wide audience.

After its theatrical run, viewers who missed the film in cinemas can now stream Aasha on ZEE5 from the 16th of October. The platform will display the title from that date, and audiences can check for the available audio‑language options closer to the release. The digital debut follows the film’s September premiere, ensuring that fans of the cast and crew can experience the story’s exploration of choice and consequence from the comfort of their homes.
