Kedar Shinde returns to Jio Studios; new Marathi film Aai Bhadyane Havi? explores motherhood

Three years after the box‑office hit Baipan Bhaari Deva, filmmaker Kedar Shinde is back with Jio Studios for a new women‑centric Marathi feature titled Aai Bhadyane Havi?. The production has officially begun, though a release date has not yet been set.

The project is a joint venture between Jio Studios and Sunflower Studios, with Shinde directing and producers Jyoti Deshpande and Sana Shinde at the helm. The cast features Sukanya Kulkarni, Vishakha Subhedar, Payal Jadhav and Prarthana Behre in pivotal roles.

Described as a social entertainer, the film promises a blend of humour, emotion and relational dynamics, centring on the theme of motherhood. Its announcement came in time for Navratri, a festival that celebrates the divine feminine.

Shinde’s collaboration with Jio Studios follows the success of Baipan Bhaari Deva, which resonated with Marathi audiences across generations. Aai Bhadyane Havi? is expected to continue Shinde’s focus on women and family relationships rooted in Marathi culture and everyday life.

Further details about the plot, characters and release schedule are still pending, with the makers promising updates at a later stage.
