A new chapter of Indian mythology is set to unfold at the world’s biggest pop‑culture gathering, San Diego Comic‑Con, when the 4‑minute‑15‑second trailer for the upcoming film Ramayana will be unveiled on July 23. The trailer, which received a ‘U’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification on July 15, will be shown to a packed audience in Ballroom 20, the convention’s second‑largest venue that can seat nearly 4,800 people.
The event, scheduled from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm PDT (3:45 am to 4:45 am IST on July 24), will feature the film’s creative team—producer Namit Malhotra and director Nitesh Tiwari—alongside the film’s star‑cast. International superstars Ranbir Kapoor, who portrays Rama, and Yash, who plays Ravana, will join the panel and perform live. Attendees can expect never‑before‑seen footage, exclusive reveals, live performances, and special giveaways.
Ramayana’s debut at Comic‑Con comes amid a packed schedule of high‑profile announcements. On Saturday July 25, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will discuss future MCU plans and is expected to reveal the trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. The Marvel panel will take place in Hall H, the convention’s largest venue, which can host about 6,500 fans.
Other highlights include the premiere of the documentary Stan Lee: The Final Chapter on July 23 and a rare A24 panel featuring Adam Wingard’s upcoming sci‑fi action film Onslaught. Wingard, along with Adria Arjona, Drew Starkey, Rebecca Hall and Dan Stevens, will showcase never‑before‑seen footage that will not be shown again until the fall.
With a blend of mythology, blockbuster cinema and exclusive content, the Ramayana trailer launch promises to be a landmark moment for fans worldwide.
