Security tightened around Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartment; Tiger Shroff’s Juhu shooting sparks new patrols

After a string of violent incidents in Mumbai, police have bolstered security around Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Bandra. The move follows the October 18 shooting of actor Tiger Shroff in Juhu, where three motorcycle‑borne gunmen fired seven rounds at Shroff’s car. Shroff was unharmed, but his driver and a passerby sustained injuries.

Investigators now believe that the assailants had originally targeted Salman Khan. According to sources, the attackers conducted a reconnaissance of Khan’s residence before abandoning the plan when they found the security too robust. As a result, additional police officers, armed personnel and vehicles have been stationed outside the apartment complex, with some officers wearing bulletproof jackets.

DCP (Special Cell) Praveen Tripathi addressed the allegations, stating that the four men arrested for supplying weapons had no knowledge of any celebrity target beyond the weapons logistics. He added that “nothing of that sort emerged during our interrogation, as these individuals were merely part of the weapon supply network. Their knowledge was limited strictly to where to procure the weapons and where to deliver them.”

Reports also claim that the accused moved around Mumbai posing as ordinary visitors and carried out reconnaissance at locations linked to other Bollywood stars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan. However, no official confirmation has been made regarding any other targets.

The heightened patrols and security presence around Galaxy Apartments are part of a broader effort to protect high‑profile residents following the Juhu shooting. Police officials have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity in the area.
