In a major development for the upcoming epic Ramayana, the distribution rights for the Southern Indian markets have been finalized. Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations will handle releases in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, while Yash’s Monster Mind Creations will take charge in Karnataka. Think Studios, run by Swaroop Reddy under SNS Movie Production, will distribute the film in Tamil Nadu, and E4 Entertainment, headed by Mukesh Mehta, will oversee the Kerala release.
The decisions come after Sony Pictures announced plans to release Ramayana overseas and Dharma Productions, headed by Karan Johar, secured North Indian distribution. With all major circuits now covered, the film is slated for a nationwide launch on November 5.
At the grand pre‑release event in Hyderabad, Dil Raju, who previously distributed Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra (2022) and Animal (2023), expressed optimism that Ramayana would add to his successful collaborations with Kapoor. Yash, who portrays Ravana in the film, is rumored to have waived his acting fee in exchange for the distribution rights, a claim that could not be independently confirmed.
Think Studios, known for releasing Yash’s Toxic (2026) and co‑producing Vijay Sethupathi’s Maharaja (2024), will bring the film to Tamil audiences. E4 Entertainment, with a track record that includes Pushpa 2 – The Rule (2024) and Animal (2023), will manage the Kerala market.
With distribution locked across all key regions and international markets, Ramayana is poised for a grand launch, promising a wide reach for its much‑anticipated saga.
