In a major development for the 2027 film slate, the much‑anticipated movie Naam – To Live Is War has just expanded its star‑studded roster. The project, presented by veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and directed by Sidhaant Sachdev, already boasts a strong cast with Veer Pahariya in the lead and Varun Sharma taking on a negative role for the first time in his career. Recent additions include Prashant Narayanan, Vijayant Kohli, and Shefali Bagga, while the music department has welcomed a familiar face: Himesh Reshammiya.
According to an exclusive source speaking to Bollywood Hungama, the makers sought a composer who could match the film’s intensity and thematic depth. They believed Himesh Reshammiya was the ideal choice, and he was quick to agree after being impressed by the storyline and the team’s passion. The source added that Himesh was excited to collaborate with Mahesh Bhatt again after a long hiatus, noting that the two had not worked together for nearly sixteen years.
The reunion carries a historical weight. Himesh first worked with Bhatt in 2003 on the song “Soorat Pe Teri Pyar Aave” for the film Footpath, which Bhatt wrote. Later, in 2010, Bhatt penned the story and screenplay for Kajraare, a film that starred Himesh and featured his music and vocals. Their last collaboration was the 2014 thriller The Xposé, after which Bhatt personally called Himesh to congratulate him, an emotional moment the singer recalled in an interview with The Times of India.
Beyond Naam – To Live Is War, Himesh Reshammiya is busy with several projects, including Sooraj Barjatya’s Yeh Prem Mol Liya, Emraan Hashmi’s Gunmaaster G9, Anil Sharma’s Arjun Naga, and Vikram Bhatt’s horror feature 1920: Cold Winter. The music rights for Naam – To Live Is War have also been secured by Himesh’s own label, Himesh Reshammiya Melodies.
Produced by Utsav Upadhyay and Riddhi Chawda under Utsav Entertainment and Productions, the film marks Veer Pahariya’s third outing after Sky Force (2025) and the recent romantic comedy Prem Keetanu (2026). With a blend of seasoned talent and fresh faces, the project is poised to make a significant impact on the 2027 cinematic landscape.
