Actor Tiger Shroff returned to the sets of his upcoming film Lag Jaa Gale on October 20, just two days after a shooting incident outside a ground in Mumbai left him with minor injuries and his driver wounded by a bullet. The incident occurred on Sunday, October 18, and the investigation is still underway. Police have arrested three suspects, including two gunmen and a motorcycle rider, marking a significant development in the case.
According to a Times Now report, Shroff resumed filming for Dharma Productions’ romantic action thriller on Tuesday, the same day the three accused were taken into custody. The movie, directed by Raj Mehta—known for hits such as Good Newwz, JugJugg Jeeyo and Selfiee—also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya in pivotal roles.
Earlier this year, photos from the Lag Jaa Gale sets circulated on social media, sparking interest in the project. Initially slated for a 2026 release, the film’s schedule delays have pushed its debut to May 14, 2027.
Beyond Lag Jaa Gale, Shroff is attached to Remo D’Souza’s next venture, produced by Vicky Jain (husband of actor Ankita Lokhande) and featuring Nushrratt Bharuccha, Elvish Yadav, Abhishek Banerjee and Pashmina Roshan. He is also rumored to be working on an action film with Vidyut Jammwal, though no official announcement has been made.
Following the shooting scare, Jammwal released a video urging people to stop being passive witnesses to harassment or assault. He wrote, “We know there’s a lot happening in our country. Sometimes we can raise our voice, sometimes we can’t, but WE do in our own way. But when we see someone being harassed or assaulted on the street (woman), why do we stand by and watch? Why can’t one of us step forward, not just as witnesses, but as human beings? We need fewer spectators and more heroes.” The video received widespread praise from netizens.
