Three men suspected of firing at Bollywood star Tiger Shroff in Mumbai have been arrested by the Kota City Police in Rajasthan. The suspects were intercepted on the Pune‑Jaipur Express, where they were travelling to Kota after the incident. According to Kota Superintendent of Police Tejaswani Gautam, the police received a tip on Monday morning and mobilised a team that set a trap within 15 minutes of the information. The operation involved covering exit points, platforms and other key locations on the train, leading to the apprehension of all three accused before they could disembark.
Gautam identified the suspects as Rehan, alias Sukka, from Sonipat, Haryana; Hritik Kurmi, alias Roshan, from Begusarai, Bihar, who has lived in Mumbai for several years; and a minor. All three were detained by the Kota police and will soon be handed over to the Mumbai Police for further proceedings. Preliminary questioning revealed that one suspect was a Rapido rider, while the other two were labourers in Sonipat. The suspects allegedly planned to travel to Delhi on the same train and then escape to Nepal.
The shooting took place around 7 pm on Sunday when Tiger Shroff was leaving a football club in Juhu, Mumbai. According to the Mumbai Police Crime Branch, the assailants had monitored the actor’s movements and targeted his car. Although Tiger escaped direct gunshot wounds, his driver was injured. The attackers reportedly fled the scene via SV Road through Vile Parle and Andheri, abandoned a motorcycle near Andheri West railway station, and boarded a train heading toward Borivali.
Police officials confirmed that the attack may have been pre‑planned after the shooters conducted reconnaissance of the actor’s routine visits to the Juhu football ground on Sundays. The Kota police have taken custody of the suspects and will transfer them to Mumbai authorities for further investigation.
