Actor Sonu Sood has entered the Mumbai real‑estate market by leasing a commercial unit in the Versova area of Andheri West for a total of ₹3.52 crore. The transaction, recorded on the Maharashtra Inspector General of Registration website in October 2026, involves a five‑year lease with a monthly rent that escalates annually.
The property, located in Aram Nagar, Versova, is situated near the coast and enjoys proximity to Mumbai’s entertainment hubs. The lease terms set the first year’s rent at ₹5 lakh per month, rising to ₹5.40 lakh in year two, ₹5.83 lakh in year three, ₹6.29 lakh in year four and ₹6.80 lakh in year five – an approximate 8 % yearly increase. A security deposit of ₹32 lakh accompanies the agreement, and the parties paid ₹93,000 in stamp duty and ₹1,000 in registration fees.
Versova’s connectivity is a key selling point. The neighbourhood is linked to the rest of Mumbai via Link Road, SV Road and the Western Express Highway, and is served by the Versova Metro station and Andheri railway station. The area also offers access to commercial centers such as Andheri East, Goregaon and the Bandra Kurla Complex, and is home to a range of social amenities including a beach, cafés, retail outlets, schools and healthcare facilities. The upcoming Versova‑Bandra Sea Link is expected to further improve regional connectivity.
Beyond real estate, Sood remains active in film and philanthropy. He has worked across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada cinema and gained national attention for his humanitarian efforts during the COVID‑19 pandemic, helping stranded migrant workers and students return home. Through the Sood Charity Foundation, he continues to support education, healthcare and social welfare initiatives.
