Abundantia aiON, the AI‑powered creative studio arm of Abundantia Entertainment, has unveiled its inaugural feature, Beta Builder, in a partnership with AI video platform InVideo. The two companies have pooled a joint fund of Rs. 100 crore to support a three‑film slate, with Beta Builder as the first title.
The story follows Jai, a self‑taught architect from Dharavi who dreams of shaping the world. When he gets a chance to bring his vision to life in a virtual reality setting, he discovers that success means more than personal triumph. The film explores themes of ambition, belonging and community empowerment, set against the backdrop of one of Mumbai’s most iconic neighbourhoods and the limitless possibilities of a metaverse world.
Abundantia aiON says the project is built on its “Human‑First, AI‑Empowered” philosophy, placing human authorship and storytelling at the core while leveraging AI throughout the production chain—from development to final cut. Founder and CEO Vikram Malhotra explained that Beta Builder showcases how technology can rewrite the filmmaking experience, adding a layer of excitement to a deeply human narrative.
According to Malhotra, the film is just the beginning: the partnership will produce five AI‑driven movies over the next three years, ranging from fully AI‑generated features to live‑action hybrids. Titles are slated to roll out from the first quarter of 2027.
Abundantia Entertainment, established in 2013, has a track record that includes hits such as Baby, Airlift, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Shakuntala Devi, Sherni, the Chhorii franchise, Breathe, Daldal, Subedaar and Maa Behen. The new AI studio aims to become a fully integrated, end‑to‑end movie production house.
