Cinema VinesReliance Entertainment and Moon Side Films are preparing to release a fresh take on the long‑standing nepotism debate in Bollywood with the upcoming thriller Junglywood, directed by Chand Mohammad. The film promises a blend of dark humour, psychological tension and unexpected twists while offering a behind‑the‑scenes look at the film industry.
Starring Shaan R. Grover, who rose to prominence with the hit Saiyaara last year, Junglywood positions him as the perfect outsider protagonist in a story that pits insiders against outsiders. Grover, who has recently appeared in Tum Mere Ho, said, “Every actor dreams of headline their own film and with Junglywood I am getting that chance. What adds to the appeal is the team behind it. Chand’s vision and the backing of Reliance and Moon Side Films is set to give the Indian audience a one‑of‑a‑kind experience.”
Chand Mohammad described the film as “one‑of‑a‑kind” and emphasized the need to laugh at oneself. “It’s necessary to know how to take a joke on oneself and with Junglywood, we aim to do that,” he said. He added that the story’s focus on the outsider versus insider debate made Grover an ideal lead, noting that the actor “doesn’t come from a film background, but he left a lasting impression with Saiyaara last year.”
The cast also features Akash R. Jagga, Irina Rudakova and Deepak Kalra in pivotal roles, alongside a host of fresh faces such as Dia Singh, Anoushka Chauhan, Niya Bapalawat and Twinkle Arora. The ensemble is set to bring new energy to the film’s exploration of industry dynamics.
