Biju Menon’s latest Malayalam comedy‑drama, Avaraachan And Sons, which premiered in theatres on October 2, 2026, is now available for streaming on Netflix. The film, directed by Thamby in his debut feature, follows the chaotic life of Avarachan, a father whose drinking and reckless actions repeatedly embroil him and his family in trouble. The story is set in the coastal town of Chellanam, where Avarachan’s mischief forces him to leave his hometown after a major incident sparks a local conflict.
Following the fallout, Avarachan relocates to the hills of North Kerala to stay with his elder sister Eliyamma. The change of scenery not only affects him but also his sons, Jaison and Jaimon, played by Sreenath Bhasi and Ganapathi respectively, who must navigate the new dynamics and the challenges that arise. The film also features Grace Antony, Vinay Forrt and Johny Antony in supporting roles, adding depth to the family’s comedic yet poignant journey.
Thamby co‑wrote the screenplay with Joseph Vijeesh, while Listin Stephen produced the film under the Magic Frames banner, with Justin Stephen as co‑producer. Cinematography was handled by Sajith Purushan, editing by Akash Joseph Varghese, and music composed by Sanal Dev. The technical crew also included art director Aji Kuttiani, costume designer Stephy Zaviour, sound designers Sankaran A S and K. C. Sidharthan, sound mixer Vishnu Sujathan, and visual effects by Promice Studios. Executive producers Santhosh Krishnan and Naveen P Thomas, along with line producer Akhil Yesodharan, completed the production team.
Magic Frames is responsible for the film’s distribution, and viewers who missed the theatrical run can now catch Avaraachan And Sons on Netflix starting October 30, 2026. The streaming release offers a new opportunity for audiences to experience the film’s blend of humor, family dynamics, and regional flavor from the comfort of their homes.
