Mahaveer Jain Films (MJF) has announced the title and release date of its upcoming devotional drama, Mera Yaar Bajrangi – Dosti Ho Toh Aisi. The film, starring Ravi Kishan, is slated to hit Indian cinemas on Diwali 2027, promising a grand celebration of friendship between a common man and a divine figure.
The promotional poster showcases Ravi Kishan in a striking yet understated pose, depicting a divine fist‑bump. One hand belongs to a regular person wearing a rudraksha and raksha sutra, while the other is that of Bajrang Bali, complete with a Shri Ram naam patka and rudraksha mala. A spark of divinity connects the two hands, visually echoing the film’s tagline, “Dosti Ho Toh Aisi.”
Unlike conventional mythological epics, the story centres on the bond between a devotee (the Bhakt) and the deity (the Bhagwan). A source close to the project explained that the film is “not a religious film; it’s about the relationship between a Bhakt and Bhagwan. In today’s time, when everyone is looking for a true friend, what if Bajrang Bali himself becomes your yaar?” This emotional premise aims to resonate with audiences who crave genuine companionship.
Ravi Kishan, who has recently enjoyed success on both OTT platforms and the big screen, will portray a devout, humble commoner from the heartland—a role that marks a departure from his previous characters. The film is written and directed by Amit Aarryan, presented by Mahaveer Jain Film, and produced in collaboration with Ratpack Stories.
With a track record of faith‑based hits such as “Hanuman Ansh” (2026), “OMG Oh My God” (2012), and “Kantara” (2022), MJF is banking on the continued audience appetite for spiritually grounded narratives. The makers are confident that the eye‑catching poster will generate significant buzz, win the hearts of netizens, and heighten curiosity for the heartwarming tale.
