Varun Sharma bows out of Naam – To Live Is War; scheduling clash forces split

Actor Varun Sharma has confirmed that he will not be joining the upcoming action thriller “Naam – To Live Is War.” The decision follows a discussion between Sharma and Utsav Entertainment, the film’s production house, after the actor’s existing professional commitments made it difficult to fit the project into his schedule.

Sharma and the makers reached a mutual agreement to part ways, citing the clash of dates as the main reason. In a joint statement, both parties expressed regret that the collaboration could not proceed at this time, while also highlighting their enthusiasm for future projects together once scheduling conflicts are resolved.

“We were genuinely looking forward to this collaboration and exploring the opportunity to work together,” the statement read. “However, given the existing professional commitments and scheduling considerations, we felt it was best to take a considered and practical decision at this stage. While things may not align this time, we hope to find an opportunity to collaborate in the future when circumstances are more conducive.”

Sharma extended his best wishes to the “Naam – To Live Is War” team, hoping the film garners “immense love and success.” The announcement came as the project’s music composer, Himesh Reshammiya, also announced his involvement, marking a reunion with Mahesh Bhatt after 16 years.

Fans of Sharma will miss his presence in the film’s high‑octane storyline, but the actor’s decision underscores the importance of maintaining a balanced schedule in the fast‑paced Bollywood industry. The production team remains optimistic about the movie’s prospects and is looking forward to a successful release.
