Abundantia and invideo launch AI‑driven film Beta Builder; Mayur More leads the Mumbai shoot

Abundantia Entertainment and video‑creation platform InVideo have kicked off production on their first joint venture, the feature film Beta Builder. The movie, directed by Hridaye A. Nagpal, began shooting in Mumbai on 29 October 2026 and will blend live‑action sequences with cutting‑edge generative AI techniques.

InVideo’s commitment to the partnership includes a Rs 100 crore investment over three years, aimed at backing a slate of five AI‑driven feature films. The collaboration marries Abundantia’s seasoned production expertise with InVideo’s AI technology, promising a new era of storytelling.

Starring Mayur More—known for his work in Kota Factory and Black, White & Gray: Love Kills—and Ashlesha Thakur, who appeared in The Family Man, Beta Builder follows Jai, a self‑taught architect from Dharavi. The narrative charts Jai’s journey into virtual reality, his struggle against systemic barriers, his fight for a loved one, and his effort to give his community a voice in shaping its future.

Vikram Malhotra, Founder and CEO of Abundantia Entertainment, praised the project: “Our partnership with InVideo and Sanket focuses on leveraging AI to tell stories that are unique, impactful and entertaining. I am delighted that the first film in our slate tells a story set in a relatable, young world and explores aspirational possibilities beyond.” He added that director Hridaye Nagpal’s blend of creative vision and technological fluency makes him the ideal lead for the film.

Sanket Shah, CEO of InVideo, highlighted the company’s mission: “At InVideo, our mission has always been to put powerful tools in the hands of storytellers. Beta Builder is where that mission takes the form of a full‑length film, made with a partner of Abundantia’s calibre. It is a story about building something that lasts, which makes it the right film to begin this slate with.”

Director Nagpal spoke about the film’s significance: “With AI‑assisted filmmaking, storytellers can dream much bigger, and backing a bold idea finally feels possible. The partnership between Abundantia and InVideo gives filmmakers the scale and creative support to take on ideas like this. Beta Builder is our bet on that future, with a live‑action shoot and AI elements.”
