Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has reportedly received a threatening audio clip in which the caller demands a large sum of money, allegedly in the crores of rupees. The message, which is being investigated by the police, claims that the sender is linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, a group that has been linked to criminal activity in the past. Authorities are cross‑referencing the voice in the clip with samples in their database to confirm the identity of the caller.
Khurrana has not yet issued a statement or responded to the allegations. The incident follows a string of similar threats that have targeted Bollywood personalities, including a prior warning sent to actor Tusshar Kapoor from a caller named “Harry Boxer.” That case was later considered a possible hoax, but the police are treating the current threat with heightened seriousness, especially after a recent incident where gunfire was fired at actor Tiger Shroff.
Investigators are looking into whether these threats are connected or separate. They are also working to identify the individuals and gangs behind the extortion attempts. The police have increased their efforts to protect members of the film industry from such intimidation.
On the professional front, Khurrana is currently promoting his new film Udta Teer, a spy‑comedy directed by Akash A. Kaushik. The movie, produced by Dharma Productions in partnership with Sikhya Entertainment, stars Khurrana alongside Sara Ali Khan and features a supporting cast that includes Raghubir Yadav, Brijendra Kala, Gulshan Grover, Suhail Nayyar, Rahul Bose, Mukul Dev, Ram Kapoor and Supriya Pilgaonkar. The plot follows a spy who inadvertently disrupts a world of secrets, leading to chaotic, family‑friendly adventures.
