Rajesh Sharma Recovered; Returns to Fauzi Set Soon

Veteran actor Rajesh Sharma has emerged from a frightening health scare, returning to Mumbai after a hospital stay in Kolkata. The incident, which occurred earlier this week, stemmed from a bite he received while shooting for Prabhas’ upcoming film Fauzi in Hyderabad. Sharma’s condition deteriorated rapidly, prompting a rushed transfer to Manipal Hospital in Dhakuria, where doctors monitored him closely.

According to reports from India Today, Sharma’s blood sugar levels spiked after the bite, leading to complications that required intensive care. The actor has since recovered, and Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) president BN Tiwari confirmed that Sharma has returned home to Mumbai and will resume work in a few days.

The bite occurred during a break in the shoot at Ramoji Film City. Actor Sudipa Chatterjee, who was present on set, said Sharma was bitten by a suspected poisonous spider or insect in a densely vegetated area. He initially dismissed it as a minor irritation, but symptoms worsened during the flight back to Kolkata, where he developed a high fever and extreme restlessness.

After returning to his home in Kolkata, Sharma was admitted to Manipal Hospital the next day. He was treated for the infection, which was later reported to have affected his leg and, according to rumors, his lungs. His manager denied these claims, stating that the infection was still localized and that Sharma would be fine within a few more days.

In a show of support, West Bengal minister Indranil Khan visited Sharma at the hospital, presenting him with flowers and conveying the Chief Minister’s best wishes for a speedy recovery. The visit was shared on social media, highlighting the actor’s resilience.

With the worst of his condition behind him, Sharma is poised to return to the set of Fauzi soon. The film’s production team is optimistic about his recovery and plans to resume shooting in the coming days.
