Idhayam Murali Box Office; Crosses ₹16 Crore Worldwide Gross

After a solid opening weekend, Atharvaa’s coming‑of‑age romance Idhayam Murali has seen a sharp drop in its second‑week sales. The film, which premiered on July 10, entered its first Monday at the box office on July 13, earning an estimated ₹1.50 crore in India’s net collection. Screened across 1,382 shows nationwide, the picture attracted only 24% occupancy, a 60.5% decline from Sunday’s ₹3.80 crore haul.

By the end of Day 4, the Tamil‑language drama had accumulated a total of ₹10.70 crore in India’s net gross, while its overall gross in India reached ₹12.31 crore. Overseas, the film added another ₹0.50 crore on Monday, pushing its international gross to ₹4 crore. Consequently, the worldwide total after four days stood at ₹16.31 crore.

Director and producer Aakash Baskaran made his debut with Idhayam Murali, helming the project under his Dawn Pictures banner. The cast features Atharvaa in the lead role, joined by Kayadu Lohar, Preity Mukhundhan, Natty Subramaniam, Ramki, and others. Special appearances include Fahadh Faasil and composer‑actor Thaman S, who returned to acting after more than twenty years.

Technical credits list Manoj Paramahamsa and CH Sai on cinematography, with Pradeep E. Ragav handling editing. As Day 5 unfolds, the film’s weekday performance will determine whether it can maintain momentum heading into the next weekend.
