Pranav Mohanlal stepped into the spotlight for a rare public appearance when he joined his sister Vismaya Mohanlal at a theatre in Kochi to watch her debut feature, Thudakkam. The brothers, along with their mother Suchitra Mohanlal, attended the film’s first‑day screening, a gesture that surprised fans who had seen Pranav stay largely out of the promotional fold after the movie’s announcement.
While Pranav had attended the initial announcement event for the film, he had largely kept his distance from subsequent promotional activities, including a recent gathering at Kochi’s Crowne Plaza that was attended by the Mohanlal family and the film’s producer Antony Perumbavoor. His presence at the theatre, therefore, was a pleasant surprise for supporters of the new actress.
Social media buzzed as videos of the siblings arriving together circulated online. In one clip, Pranav is seen holding Vismaya’s hand as they weave through the crowd, while another video captures a quieter moment between the two during a media interaction. When Vismaya appeared nervous during a press exchange, she turned toward Pranav, who responded with a reassuring wink, signaling his support for his sister’s debut.
The film, directed by Jude Anthany, features a screenplay by Lineesh Nellikall, Akhil Krishna and Anthany himself. Producer Antony Perumbavoor and his son Aashish Antony, who plays a prominent role, were also present at the first show. Mohanlal makes a cameo appearance, and both he and Suchitra have actively promoted the movie.
For Vismaya, Thudakkam marks the beginning of her acting journey. The day of the premiere not only thrust her into the limelight but also highlighted the close family backing that has accompanied her from the start.
