Ajay Devgn hosts Crime Patrol; replaces Anup Soni

Bollywood star Ajay Devgn has stepped into a new arena as the host of the long‑running crime drama Crime Patrol, taking over from veteran presenter Anup Soni. The actor has already completed filming for 15 episodes of the upcoming season, but whether he will continue to front the series hinges on audience reaction and the viewership figures that the episodes generate.

According to a report by IANS, the decision to keep Devgn at the helm has not yet been finalized. A source close to the production said, “Ajay Devgn has currently shot for 15 episodes. Whether he will continue with the rest of the series depends upon the audience's reaction and the numbers.” The show’s makers will evaluate the TRPs and viewer feedback before making a final call.

In addition to Devgn, the new season will feature actor Rajesh Tailang, who is expected to host further episodes. However, the exact number of episodes Tailang will cover has not been determined, and that too will depend on how Devgn’s stint is received by the audience.

Devgn’s involvement with Crime Patrol follows a cryptic video he posted on social media last Sunday, in which he hinted at a startling revelation. In the clip, he said, “Sometimes, there are things that bother us from the inside. And today, there is a truth before us that I am stunned by. I will bring it to you soon.” While the video did not directly mention the crime series, it sparked speculation about his upcoming role as host.
