Dulquer Salmaan's I'M GAME Postponed; Now Releases September 3

Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming Malayalam action thriller I’M GAME has been pushed back by two weeks, with the new release date set for September 3, 2026. The change was announced on August 13 when the actor shared a post on social media confirming the delay from the originally planned August 20 debut.

The film, directed by Nahas Hidhayath, is now slated for a simultaneous theatrical launch in five languages—Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada—aiming for a broader market reach. Salmaan explained that the revised schedule would allow the movie to hit a wider theatrical audience across South India and Hindi‑speaking regions.

Plot-wise, I’M GAME follows Dan John, a gambler who uses an algorithm to place bets. While the system initially appears to work in his favor, it soon spirals into complications that put him in a precarious position. The story remains tightly guarded ahead of the film’s release.

In addition to Salmaan, the cast includes Kayadu Lohar, Mysskin, Antony Varghese, Samyuktha Viswanathan, Vinay Forrt, and Kathir. The screenplay was crafted by Sajeer Baba, Bilal Moidu, and Ismail Aboobacker, with dialogues by Adarsh Sukumaran, Shabas Rasheed, and Sajeer Baba. Jimshi Khalid handled cinematography, Chaman Chacko did the editing, and Jakes Bejoy composed the music and score.

The production team features Ajayan Chalissery as production designer, Mashar Hamsa on costumes, Ronex Xavier as makeup artist, and Studio Sync Cinema for sound design. Egg White VFX is responsible for visual effects. The film is produced under Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films banner.

Further details on promotions, advance bookings, and theatre-wise release plans are expected to be shared as the new launch date approaches.
