Suriya’s upcoming family romantic drama Vishwanath And Sons is set to hit theatres on Friday, 14 August 2026. The film, a Telugu‑Tamil joint venture, follows Sanjay Vishwanath, an international shooter whose career and personal life are thrown into question when age, family duties and an unexpected romance force him to reassess his priorities. Suriya stars as Sanjay, joined by Mamitha Baiju, Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon in key roles.
The project is written and directed by Venky Atluri and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, with Srikara Studios presenting. G. V. Prakash Kumar has composed the music, Nimish Ravi is the director of photography, Navin Nooli handles editing, and Banglan is in charge of production design.
Just a day before the release, industry tracker Sugumar Srinivasan took to X to share his initial reaction. In a brief post, he called the film a “Blockbuster” and peppered his message with celebratory emojis. Srinivasan highlighted the background score by G. V. Prakash Kumar as a major highlight, while also giving a nod to Suriya with a string of emojis. No detailed review of plot, performances or technical aspects was offered.
With the film’s opening slated for 14 August, Srinivasan’s comment provides an early industry buzz. However, a fuller assessment will come only after critics and audiences experience the film in cinemas.
