Kattalan Now Streaming; Available on ManoramaMAX

Antony Varghese’s latest Malayalam action thriller, Kattalan, has now crossed the silver screen to find a new home on the digital platform ManoramaMAX. The film, which premiered in theatres on 28 May 2026, follows Varghese in the role of Kattalan, a ruthless hunter who becomes embroiled in the violent rivalry between two criminal syndicates that dominate the illegal ivory trade. The story pits Maari and Eddy, two powerful smuggling lords, against each other, escalating from a business feud to a bloody battle for supremacy while law enforcement scrambles to bring them down. Corrupt officials, however, enable the gangs to persist, adding another layer of tension to the narrative.

Directed by Paul George, Kattalan is a spin‑off that expands the larger Mikhael universe, following the 2019 Nivin Pauly film Mikhael and the 2024 Unni Mukundan film Marco. The screenplay was a collaborative effort between George, Joby Varghese and Jero Jacob, with Unni R penning the dialogues. Production was led by Shareef Muhammed under the Cubes Entertainments banner. Cinematography was handled by Renadive, with Chandru Selvaraj and Sudeep Elamon contributing additional shots, while Shameer Muhammed edited the final cut. The musical landscape was crafted by Ravi Basrur, who composed the score, and B. Ajaneesh Loknath, who added an extra track. Action sequences were choreographed by Action Sandhosh and Kecha Khamphakdee.

The ensemble cast features not only Varghese but also Sunil, Kabir Duhan Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Jagadeesh, Siddique and Hanan Shaah, among others. Supporting roles are filled by Parth Tiwari, Raj Tirandasu, Anson Paul, Shon Joy and several additional actors, creating a robust lineup that drives the film’s high‑stakes drama.

For audiences who missed the theatrical run or wish to re‑experience the film from home, Kattalan began streaming on ManoramaMAX on 13 August 2026. The platform offers viewers the full feature with its original sound and visual quality, making it accessible to a wide audience across the region.
